• Built the ERP and POS platform that moved the company off services, now with over 30 enterprise clients across the UAE and India.
• Ran the technical due diligence for the 2026 acquisition: architecture, IP and licence audit, security and key-person risk.
• Kept the core engineering team through the acquisition.
• Ran EDR on Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor and ELK.
• Set the architecture standard that all 100+ projects were built against and clients certified on (HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Ran Scrum delivery out of five countries and cut release cadence from every 4 to 8 weeks to weekly on Jenkins, CircleCI and Azure DevOps.
• Owned the product unit P&L and the engineering budget across headcount, tooling and cloud, reporting monthly to the shareholders.
• Led the AI work: a test-and-fix framework that writes and runs its own Playwright suites, and a LangChain assistant for a healthcare client.

IT leadership for one of Oman’s largest engineering contractors - 5,000+ staff, an order book over $300M - across roughly 50 subsidiaries in construction, hospitality, farming, crushing, manufacturing and F&B, operating in Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and India.

• Owned group IT spend of $17M to $25M a year across roughly 50 subsidiaries and cut it by about $294K a month, roughly $3.5M a year (14% to 20%), through competitive multi-vendor bidding across all four regions.
• Held vendor negotiation and contract authority across the group and ran an IT function of over 25 people, reporting monthly to the ownership on spend, risk and transformation.
• Moved every process off paper onto systems built in-house across all 4 offices, with task and ticket monitoring behind them (AI note-taking, WRENCH SmartProject, Zoho low-code).

Co-founded and led alongside the VAAS role.

Co-founded an AI healthtech startup and set its technology vision, architecture and roadmap across India and the UAE.

• Built the company from the first line of code to its 2026 acquisition: raised about $500K, carried the P&L, grew engineering to 30 including the architects on each surface, reported monthly to the investor board, and ran the exit’s technical due diligence.
• Took doctor and patient apps live in over 10 clinics with tens of clinicians and hundreds of patients, lifting crash-free sessions from 10% to 90% and cutting defects to 5%, shipping weekly at over 80% test coverage on a platform built to HIPAA and Indian and UAE health-data rules.

Part-time consulting engagement, alongside the VAAS role.

• Trained three batches of 22 graduate engineers in person across Java and Spring Boot, SQL, Angular, React and Python, and prepared them to clear client interviews.
• Ran the final technical interview round, at least 43 interviews a month, across AI and LLM, ML, Python, Django, React, Angular, DevOps and UI/UX, each with a coding challenge.

Hands-on delivery engineering on enterprise programmes for Telstra, Pickles and First American, between running my own engineering functions.

• Delivered IoT platforms for Telstra, Australia’s largest telecom, and owned the integration architecture behind them: an API layer in front, device telemetry through an event-driven backbone (Google Apigee, Azure Service Bus).
• Rebuilt ERP and internal systems for Pickles, Australia’s largest auctioneer, and First American, a US title insurer, at over 80% automated test coverage, and ran AI/ML model R&D (SageMaker, Jenkins, Kubernetes).

Enterprise chatbots and internal applications for KPMG, wired into their core systems.

• Architected the chatbot over KPMG’s audit process, used by over 1,000 people across the group and built with Microsoft on Bot Framework, and cut load times about 30% by moving the audit application off AngularJS onto Angular 5 and 6.

AI chatbot platforms, cloud migration and technical hiring.

• Halved the hosting bill by migrating over 80 servers from AWS to Azure, led AI chatbot platforms for 5 clients plus 3 internal production bots, took over the ML and AI division when the engineering manager left, and hired the over 50 engineers who joined my teams.

Contract engagement for a Malaysian IT services company, alongside the bitWise role.

Promoted twice in 31 months, from PHP Web Developer to Programmer to Lead Developer on the Innovation Team.

• Ran product incubation on the Innovation Team: found the technology, built the proof of concept, took it to customers, then handed each product to sales and operations against growth targets. Shaped the architecture on Clickastro, still past 1M installs at 4.4 stars on Google Play.
